Ecovillages as Regenera�ve Models for American Housing Monday, June 12, 4-5:30 p.m. Virtual We've heard about regenera�ve farming, but can housing be regenera�ve too? Learn more about the ecovillage cohousing housing model through the example of Ecovillage at Ithaca (EVI). HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES With boa�ng season upon us, it's important to remember to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) using the "clean, drain, dry" method for boats, as well as disinfec�ng fishing gear. Boat stewards are available at more than 200 launches across New York State to educate and assist boaters in prac�cing these techniques every �me they come off the water and prior to launching. AIS Preven�on Tips: �Inspect your watercra� and trailer, and remove anything that shouldn’t be there, like plants, animals, mud, or debris. �Discard in a trash can or at a disposal sta�on. �Drain all water-holding compartments. �Wash your boat and allow it to fully dry before entering a new water body. �When there's no �me to dry between uses, disinfect with hot water that's at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit, or visit a decontamination site. SYNESTHESIA: THE COLOR OF SOUND, ART OPENING Synesthesia: The Color of Sound” opening recep�on will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 7pm at the Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts (TCFA). Curated by founding members Domenica Brockman and Marina Delaney, the exhibit features both established and emerging ar�sts who explore the rela�onship between art and music or sound. The event will feature music by DJ Obvious Objects and an interac�ve audio and visual installa�on by Mark Oros. Wine and light refreshments served.
