HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-10-02-STBSPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING Budget Discussion Town of Ulysses October 2, 2014 Audio of the minutes are available on the website at ulysses.ny.us. The meeting was held at the Ulysses Town Hall at 10 Elm Street, Trumansburg. PRESENT: Supervisor- Liz Thomas Board members- Rich Goldman, John Hertzler, Nancy Zahler Clerk- Carissa Parlato Bookkeeper- Mary Bouchard (entered at 6pm) Ms. Thomas called the meeting to order at 5:02pm. The board discussed the following items: Types of funds- A, B, DA, DB What revenues can be used for what funds How taxes are calculated and applied to various funds The municipal budget process Budgeting styles/philosophies The board went line by line through the 2015 Tentative Budget and discussed the accuracy of the amounts; flagging those that they would like to discuss further at a future meeting. Ms. Bouchard arrived at 6pm to present projected fund balances. Ms. Zahler made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:48pm, seconded by Mr. Goldman. Respectfully submitted by Carissa Parlato, 10/16/14
