The meeting was held at 7pm at the Trumansburg Village Hall at 56 East Main Street in Trumansburg. PRESENT: From the Town of Ulysses: Supervisor- Liz Thomas Board members- Rich Goldman, John Hertzler, Nancy Zahler, David Kerness From the Village of Trumansburg: Mayor- Marty Petrovic Trustees- Rordan Hart, Rob Cassetti, Ben Carver, Tim Lynch Clerk- Tammy Morse ABSENT: Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato OTHERS PRESENT: Debbie Watkins (former Village Trustee) Notice of the meeting was posted on the town's website and clerk's board, in addition to the notifications done by the village. Mr. Petrovic and Ms. Thomas called the meeting to order, and Ms. Morse called roll for both boards. Ms. Thomas invited the group to introduce themselves and share their board duties and passions, and they did so. She then shared information on how the town board runs and the general town government structure. Mr. Petrovic did the same for the village. Ms. Thomas introduced the topic of shared services and the group discussed what is currently shared: • EMS/Fire • Youth funding/programming • The recent sidewalk grant • Courts • The historic building evaluation in progress • Police The group addressed areas of potential sharing in the future: • Code enforcement • Planning & zoning training for the Planning Boards 2 • Newsletter • Public forums • Emergency planning • Winterfest • Water district development • Zoning and development issues • Personnel policies • Capital planning for highway department/DPW • A consolidation study In closing, future plans for communication were noted: • Working in small committees • Meetings that are specific to a topic • Meetings of the full boards but not more than 2x/year • A discussion dedicated to EMS/Fire with those department heads ADJOURN: Ms. Zahler made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:12pm seconded by Mr. Hertzler.
