Ulysses Zoning Board of Appeals
July 13 , 1998
Present: Chair George Tselekis, Ken Christianson, Carl Mann, Building Inspector Alex
Rachun, and Jim Proctor
Recording minutes : Deb Austic
George called the meeting to order at 7 : 30 p . m . to consider the application for a
height variance for an accessory building by Jim Proctor at 3235 Agard Road . Jim
• explained the building would be 31 ft in height, with a 5 / 12 pitch and used for machinery
storage and repair. Six neighbors were notified with no response except Carl said his
parents had no problem with the building . Alex explained that Proctor was trying to
become more in compliance with the guidelines of a home occupation by building an
accessory building for machinery . Jim stated the business had been present for 36 years .
Carl made a motion that the variance was not substantial , there would be no
increase in population, there would be no detriment to the neighborhood, there was no
feasible alternative, and in the interests of justice the variance be approved . Ken seconded
the motion . The Board voted.
