HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-05-22 - MP TOWN OF ULYSSES JOINT MASTER PLAN / TOWN BOARD MEETING MAY 22 , 1997 Present : Alex Rachun , Ruth Kahn , Joanne Molino , Sue Poelvoorde , Doug Austic , Peter Penniman , Catherine Stover , Carolyn Duddleston . The meeting came to order at 7 : 15 pm . The meeting started by the group looking at the map and Mr . Austic going over the status of each property that is to be changed . Mrs . Stover asked what the status of Ulysses Square is ? Mr . Rachun stated that he believes it is commercial now instead of a pud . Would have to look in old minutes to find out if whole corner is commercial . Ms . Poelvoorde said that while they have been working on the map , they have been trying to keep everything in Tompkins County instead of Seneca County . Mrs . Stover agreed that there has been to much that has gone to Seneca County already . Ms . Poelvoorde stated her concern of the road situation on 96 for anything new . Mr . Austic stated that the trailer park , Washington Heights Manufactured Home Park , would like to go bigger but can ' t because he doesn ' t have water and sewer . Ms . Poelvoorde asked if mobile homes were granted pud ' s because they were existing ? Mrs . Stover answered no , that the zoning law states you could have a pud for a trailer if you had 3 acres of land . The group made a list of recommadations for all pud ' s . 1 . Spruce Row Campsite - change to special allowence , special use permit as opposed to to non - conforming . Recommend guidelines . 2 . Ulysses Square - leave it as is . It ' s in the suggestion . 3 . Barangus - should be considered non - conforming . III 4 . Kline - be included in industrial as new . All existing mobile home pud ' s will be non - conforming for the life of the trailer . 5 . Jacksonville Motel / Apartments - leave as is . 6 . Rascals / Wards / Hammonds - leave as business . Eliminate commercial east side of 96 , Perry City Road to Novar . Eliminate west side commercial from after Hammond ' s to before Rossetti ' s . 7 . ISA Babcock - Agricultural use . Special use permit . 8 . Poyer - non - conforming use . Master Plan / Town Board 2 May 22 , 1997 9 . Glenwood Pines - business . 10 . Weavers - business . 11 . Nature Center - special use permit . Make a recommadation to re - evaluate to educational status , redefine educational status . 12 . Motel - business district . Low impact commercial . 13 . Cayuga Inn - residential , will consider ? 14 . Tauhgannock Farms - commercial . • 15 . Koskinen ' s - leave it and let zoning figure out what to do with it . 16 . Podunk Ski - recreational / tourism . 17 . Junk Yard - non - conforming . 18 . Insurance Agency - low impact commercial . 19 . Saw Mill - non - conforming , will consider ? 20 . Ehrhart - commercial . 21 . Blossoms - commercial . 22 . Aubles ( formally B2 ) - commercial / industrial / residential . Everyone was in agreement with the decisions that had been made and agreed that definitions were the next thing to be done . The next meeting will be May 29 , 1997 at 7 : 00 pm .
