TOWN OF ULYSSES NEWS
In this issue:
Electric Vehicle Charging Station
Zoning Update - Input Needed
Election Thank Yous
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION - ready to use!
For anyone with an electric car, there is a new charging station at Town Hall on 10 Elm St. in Trumansburg. The station is in
the back of Town Hall and can accommodate two vehicles. To unlock the station, users will either need a
ChargePoint account card or can call the number on the station. As part of the grant funding conditions, there will be no
charge for the electric for the time being.
If you use the EV station, we would be interested in your feedback. Email either Darby Kiley or Liz Thomas.
ZONING CHANGES - Public Input needed
Areas of the Ulysses zoning are being updated to bring them in line with the Comprehensive Plan. A draft of the proposed
zoning will be presented on November 30, beginning at 6:30 at the Trumansburg Elementary School Cafeteria.
This is an important time to give input, but not the only time. Based on comments that will be due on 1/11/18, the Zoning
Committee may make changes before forwarding the proposed zoning on to the Town Board to review and have public
input again.
More details to come!
ELECTION THANK YOUS
Local elections can be stressful for residents, candidates, and town employees. I'm grateful to each candidate who has
taken the time, and put in the energy, to run for office. Putting your name out for public review and scrutiny is not for the
faint of heart--so thanks to each of you who ran and were willing to serve the residents here.
Additionally, I would like to thank the dedicated employees of the town who work hard each day to serve residents of
Ulysses and Trumansburg. They provide an unwavering foundation for the town as elected officials come and go.
It is time to look forward, with a positive outlook, and a commitment to respect and civility. Aren't we the lucky ones to be
living in this extraordinary Town of Ulysses.
Your public servant,
-Liz
