High wind warning Sunday through Monday...

Hello Ulysses resident
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning with gusts up to 65 mph possible in our area.
Winds this strong are likely to cause power outages on Sunday night through Monday. The attached document
is from NYSEG with advice about how to prepare, and what to do if your power does go out. If you haven't
already signed up for emergency alerts to come to you directly, contact the Town Clerk for more information at
clerk@ulysses.ny.us.
...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM SUNDAY TO 7 PM
EST MONDAY...
* WINDS...West 25 to 40 mph with gusts of 55 to 65 mph.
* TIMING...Sunday afternoon through late Monday afternoon. Peak
winds Sunday night through midday Monday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
