several sums mentioned in the last columns thereof, opposite to their respective names. On all sums of
taxes received or collected within thirty days after giving the notices required by the twenty-ninth sec-
tion of the act of May loth, 1845, chap. ISo, you are directed to receive and collect, in addition to the
taxes named in said assessment roll, one cent on every dollar of tax, and one cent on every sum less
