Final Meeting Minutes

Call to Order: 7:03
Present: David Blake, Jonathan Ferrari, Rebecca Schneider, John Wertis, Katelin Olson, Town Planner
John Zepko
Not Present: Steve Manley and Town Board Liaison Rich Goldman were excused.
Members of the Public Present: Andrew and Hilary Conroy, Michael Boggs
Agenda Review; Minutes Review: (September 18, 2018 and October 2, 2018): Minutes from the
September 18th and October 2nd Planning Board meetings were approved unanimously.
Privilege of the Floor: None
New Business
Public Hearing for Special Use Permit and Site Plan review, Smart Start; 1966 State Route 96, Parcel B,
Tax Parcel Number 20.-3-9.21. The applicant is applying for a Special Permit (§212-18) and Site Plan
Review (§212-19) for the construction of a preschool and nursery space at the above mentioned
property. The proposed building is approximately 80 ft. x 80 ft. in size on an approximately 4.86-acre
parcel in an A1 – Agricultural District zone.
Mr. Blake MADE the MOTION and Mr. Wertis SECONDED the MOTION to open the hearing for
discussion. Mr. Zepko recommended the Board leave the public hearing open until the Town and the
applicants receive necessary information from Tompkins County. Board members agreed with the
suggestion and told the Conroys – the applicants – the hoped to have an answer by the next meeting in
November.
The Conroys thanked the Board for their time.
Following a brief conversation about the Town Board’s timetable for future discussion on the proposed
zoning, Ms. Olson MADE the MOTION and Ms. Schneider SECONDED the MOTION to adjourn. The
meeting adjourned at 7:34.
