Deer may be euthanized using firearms. bowhunting equipment, or crossbows,. ?. The permittee andi'or designated agent, are authorized to capture (leer by remote chctnical itnmobi.lization using dart syringes. �. The permittee and,or designated agents are aa.ath.orized to use a pneumatic dart projector (,,6 )Ofps) to take deer front a vehicle. 4. The permittee and/or designated �agcnts are authorized to use a pneumatic dart projector (<<600fps) to take deer on car ii-om a public road. 5. Deer may be killed by anesthesia Followed by intravenous or intracardial injection of potassium chloride (KC71), or anesthesia followed by gunshot to the brain. 6. The permittee andlor designated agents who perforni anesthesia andior administration of KCl must possess a valid U.S_ Drug 1 nforceinent Administration license and a valid Now York State Department of Health license (unless cxempt under state law) when using controlled drugs. Anesthesia and use of KC1 must be conducted under the supervision of a Hely York State licensed veterinarian. This permit is valid during the Regular, Bowbunting, and Muzzleloading Big Game- hunting seasons and the Deer Management Focus Area special January hunting season. 12. The Permittee shall provide a scientific. report (including evaluation of the effect of deer removals) to the DEC Region 7 Regional Wildlife Manager by December 31 of each calendar near in which the permit is valid and utilized. 17. Agents on this permit must he identified and approved by DEC' prior to the activities on this permit bents; can -1 d that. In order for the permit to be amended to allow more than 145 deer to be harvested, the permittee must submit a written request that includes justification for the removal of additional deer from thePopulation(e.g. management objective not yet reached, population found to be higher than originally estimated, population has increased. since issaance of permit, etc.)- A request to take more than the initial number of 85 deer oitttined in the plan was made in September 2015, and the authorization to take 115 deer was granted. Another request was made in April ?Q18 to take more than the. i 15 deer authorized in 2015, This permit now authorize& the permittee to take 145 total deer. These permit condition; are fully enforceable as per the ":agreement to Conditions" signed by the permittee on the "Permit to Talc. or Harass Nuisance or Destructive Wildlife".
